Un Momento en el Tiempo . . .

A picture is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes.  For us language teachers we can only hope that a picture will inspire a thousand words in the target language.  Here are some "perfectly timed photos" from the Internet that will inspire conversation.

Now, let's use our tenses!  What happened in the picture (preterite)?  What was happening before the picture (imperfect)?  What is happening now (present and present progressive)?  What will happen afterwards (future)?  What might have happened (imperfect subjunctive)?

Fill in the blank (with subjunctives):

Es impresionante que . . .
Es gracioso que . . .
Qué triste que . . .
Menos mal que . . .

Have fun, amigos!
